Introducing Japanese canned craft beer you can buy at supermarkets!!

Gourmet

Hello Japan fans!

January has flown by since the New Year began, and it’s almost over. It went by so quickly!

Since Setsubun is over the weekend, I should prepare some beans and Ehomaki, but since today is Friday, I’d like to introduce you to some rich craft beer.

It’s Sakura beer! Abashiri Brew Sakura Draft

The first one comes from the northern land of Hokkaido. It is a product of Abashiri Beer Co., Ltd., which is based in Abashiri City. Its name is “Abashiri Brew Sakura Draft”!

A special moment you can only experience in spring
The pink color evokes the image of cherry blossoms, and expresses the beauty of cherry blossoms that herald the arrival of spring.
Cherry blossom petals are used as an ingredient, giving it a slightly sweet and fruity taste.
Pour into a glass and enjoy the pale cherry blossom color and the subtle cherry blossom aroma.

It’s definitely not bitter and has a very refreshing and fruity taste!

It’s refreshing with a slight cherry blossom scent in the aftertaste.

It’s no wonder they use cherry blossoms as an ingredient! It has a faint taste of sakura mochi. An interesting beer!

I’m sorry that the photography is poor, but the beer itself is a pale pink color, truly a cherry blossom beer!

This is Japanese Sakura beer! This craft beer is perfect for cherry blossom viewing in the coming cherry blossom season.

By the way, Abashiri Beer is famous for its deep blue craft beer! This is a shocking color for a beer.

Shizuoka Beer Sour Orange Fruit Ale

Next up is a white beer made in collaboration between Japan’s leading health food company DHC and Shizuoka’s Suppan-mikan oranges. It’s called “Shizuoka Beer Suppan-mikan!”

“It would be a waste to throw them away! This limited edition beer was made in collaboration with a local company in support of the upcycling spirit of “Suppa Mikan,” which is made from Shizuoka mandarin oranges that would otherwise be discarded. This is DHC Beer’s first collaboration product. This fruit ale allows you to enjoy the refreshing flavor and acidity of Suppa Mikan, which goes perfectly with the fruity aroma and gentle taste of white beer.

Since it is made from mandarin oranges, it has a wonderful aroma!

It’s great that this beer uses discarded mandarin oranges and is an SDGs beer! The more you drink it, the more it contributes to the SDGs.

It has a low alcohol content, but a strong sour taste. It has a slight hint of mandarin juice. You can gulp it down.

I didn’t know that DHC made beer. I’ll have to try their other beers next time.

Japanese craft beer can be purchased at convenience stores and supermarkets, so be sure to give it a try!
