The best in Japan! It’s so delicious that I went back again Oudouya Main Branch

Gourmet

I just introduced it the other day, but I took a drive to the main store of Oudouya, one of the best strongest! iekei-style ramen restaurants, so I’ll introduce it in a similar article.

The main store’s flavor is stronger and more delicious, so I definitely recommend you try it.

Suddenly, something happens.

As mentioned in the previous article, the main store of Oudouya is located in the city center, quite far from the station, so you can only get there by car.

The main store is in Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture, but I happened to have business in Toride, so I suddenly wanted to eat there, so I stopped by Oudouya Main Store.

Then something unexpected happened. It was my luck that I had been so careless. There was a time from lunchtime onwards to adjust the soup. Be careful!

I thought they would be open all day for lunch, but they will be preparing the soup for 30 minutes from 3:00pm to 3:30pm. Please be careful.(Mondays are a regular day off.)

Anyway, I waited 30 minutes and ate it.

Etiquette for eating Oudouya ramen

Last time, I had a craving for meat so I ordered pork noodles, but this time I ordered regular ramen with two slices of pork topping and half a serving of rice.

This time, we will be eating this classic set in the classic way.

First, make the Infinite Garlic Sprinkled Char Siu Rice Bowl.

Generally, the bowl of rice comes before the ramen, so first take a moment to relax and focus on creating your own bowl of rice.

You can have a bowl of rice with just rice, or if you’re really hungry, you can order something with egg or pork.

Anything is fine.

It’s very important to put the infinite garlic on top of the rice and then pour mayonnaise on top. This is a must.

Waiting for the soup. The bowl is covered in pork.

Finally, after this comes the ramen. Pour in about two spoonfuls of ramen soup and it’s ready to serve.

Then just eat it all up.

Next, how to eat Iekei Ramen

The ways to eat Iekei ramen vary from person to person and are limitless. However, there is a best way to eat it.

First, take a moment to relax while you wait for your ramen to arrive and check out the free toppings.

From the left, there are four types: chopped ginger, infinite garlic, gyoja garlic, and odorless garlic.

(There should be fried garlic, but unfortunately I didn’t have any at the time. If you have it, it’s a must.)

What I consider important is chopped ginger and gyoja garlic.

The infinite garlic is the same as the day before. The classic way to eat it is to sprinkle it on rice, not on ramen!(It’s actually a preference.)

To change the flavor, trust chopped ginger

Take another look at the ramen. The basic flavor is incredibly rich. And it’s so delicious. The first sip of the soup will blow you away.

However, it will gradually start to feel salty…at that point, add some chopped ginger!

Adding this makes the taste instantly refreshing and makes you want to eat as much as you want. Great.

The last mile is all about gyoja garlic

As you get closer to the end, your stomach will be full and the flavor will become stronger. So, as a last resort, I use this green garlic grater. Dripping Gyoja garlic.

Just a little bit is enough to give you a big boost. I want you to eat this green garlic to the last bite, not the odorless kind.

It will give you energy for tomorrow.

When you’ve finished eating, say gochisosamadesita!!

Things to note when traveling by car

As I wrote before, the main store of Oudouya can only be reached by car. Toride City Hall is nearby, so it is possible to get there by bus, but it might be far away…

The parking lot is large, but it is shared by several stores and there is a designated parking lot for Oudouya, so please park there.

The designated parking lot is in front of the sign that says “Oudouya.” There is also a small sign, so please check it out.

If you have a chance to drive to Ibaraki Prefecture, be sure to visit Oudouya’s main store at least once.

Today I introduced my favorite ramen shop again. I really like it, so next time I’ll probably introduce the Tokyo store. I’ve been eating there since I was a student, that’s how much I like it.

Back then, I would order it with more oil and flavor, but now I choose normal for everything. Aging is sad…

I forgot to mention that you can choose the firmness of the noodles, the amount of oil, and the richness of the flavor when you order. If you don’t have a preference, just ask for everything to be normal.

Ordering is done with a food ticket system, so even if you don’t understand Japanese, it’s okay. Ramen is on the top left, so press the button on the top left and hand the paper that comes out to the waiter and you’ll get some delicious ramen.

Looking at the photo now, the ramen at the main store is 850 yen, so it seems like 50 yen cheaper than the Kashiwa store…maybe it’s the difference in rent?

In any case, the Kashiwa store, the Toride main store, and the Tokyo store (although it’s crowded) are all delicious, so be sure to check out Oudouya!
