Japan is a country with many hot springs. There are many hot springs, from city centers to hidden areas deep in the mountains. Also, when you go to a hot spring town, there are popular foot baths that you can enter without having to take off your clothes.
Footbaths are an indispensable part of hot spring towns, but do you know where the largest footbath in Japan is located?
The huge foot bath in Nasu-Shiobara is called “Yuppono-yu”.
Among the many foot baths found throughout Japan, Yuppo-no-Yu is a particularly large one.

Yuppo-no-Yu is built in a circular shape, and when you enter through the entrance, to the left you will find hot water, and to the right is the area where warm water comes out.
There are also stones in the footbath that you can step on. Just walking around in the Yuppo-no-Yu bath improves your blood circulation and makes you healthier.

If you have the opportunity to drive to Nikko or Nasu-Shiobara, be sure to take a detour and visit Japan’s No.1 foot bath, Yuppo-yo!!
(It costs a little bit of money.)
By the way, there are some restaurants in the area that serve a dish called “soup yakisoba” that you can only get in this area. Please give it a try.
